Help George DeLallo Company be a leader in the Distribution industry by acting as the Food Quality Manager who assures quality food products and processes; achieves food quality operational objectives; meets food quality financial objectives; establishes food safety program; develops food safety plans; establishes food quality documentation system; maintains and improves product quality; prepares food quality reports; complies with federal, state, and local legal regulations; updates job knowledge; enhances department and organization reputation.

Qualifications

Required

Bachelor of Science in Food Science

Preferred

Certification by examination as a Food Safety Professional (CFSP) through the National Environmental Health Association

Knowledge of setting up and maintaining HAACP Programs, Shelve life studies and levels of pathogens. Concentration in Food Microbiology/Food Safety preferred.

Competently analyzes and prioritizes information to make appropriate recommendations.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.

Ability to expand job responsibilities, suggest improvements, and collaborate with others to generate ideas and improve processes.

Experience working with relational databases, statistical programs, and other tools to compile and interpret quantitative data.

Knowledge of quality concepts. These include Just-in-Time, Total Quality Commitment, inventory at point-of-use, and continuous improvement techniques.

Develops departmental policies, procedures, and workflows.

Capable of managing people and work. Skills include planning, developing policies, and delegation.

Track record of maintaining quality standards for the team and implementing quality processes.

Helps design and construct features for new products.

Gathers product, customer, and operational requirements.
