EH&S - Multiple Function Position Description

The position is responsible for the design, management and implementation of Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental programs and projects at multiple sites. Typical duties involve the following: Interprets, recommends, and ensures compliance with safety, health and environmental regulations and company policy. Plans, develops, and implements long-range remedial environmental solutions in response to environmental investigations and property assessments to reduce environmental risk and protect company assets. Identifies hazardous workplace conditions, may take preliminary samples and measurements of hazardous forces and toxic substances, removes, or manages the removal, of hazards, and/or protects employees by guarding, revising work procedures, training or requiring use of protective clothing and personal protective equipment. Takes effective steps to ensure that workplace conditions comply with applicable federal and state occupational safety and health standard, provisions of any labor agreement, and ensures that all required records are prepared and maintained. Develops and implements site specific environmental, health and safety management systems to integrate EHS into the business operations.

The position requires four to six years experience in basic industrial environmental health and safety, a bachelor’s degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering or a related safety discipline.


Safety Experience in aircraft manufacturing, aircraft maintenance, or flight line safety in either a commercial or military environment is preferred.

The candidate hired for this position will be responsible for sites in Long Beach , which will be the home site, and sites at LAX and Van Nuys which are our Aircraft Services sites. The candidate will be required to work at all three locations on a weekly basis.
