Position Summary

Monrovia Growers invites you to join our team in Visalia, California!  We are looking for a self-motivated, energetic Propagation Support Manager!  Candidate will provide support to the Propagation Department in various areas, which include, cutting, liners, grafting, inventory, plant health etc. This creative, rapidly growing organization requires an organized, self-directed horticultural professional who is able to lead and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.

 Responsibilities include assisting the Propagation Manager to achieve the following annual goals for the department:

o  Growing quality-rooted cuttings and liners from an annual production plan to meet plan volume and ready dates.

o  Achieve 95% crop readiness for production

o  Assist in the preparation of the department production schedules

o  Responsible for coordinating and performing administrative duties that support the department

o  Assist in overseeing the overall function of the Propagation Team to achieve their peak performance

· Encourage and motivate employees and managers

· Provide resources to Team members to continue building on the strengths and provide guidance to assist in areas needing improvement 

Background Required:Completion of a University Degree in Agriculture / Horticulture is a requirement along with background experience of 3-5 years in propagating woody ornamentals.Must have plant knowledge experienceMinimum of 3 years experience in coordinating / managing daily activities and supervising a diverse workforce.Proficient in MS Word & Excel are necessaryMust possess strong oral, written and listening skillsExcellent analytical, organizational and prioritizing skillsBilingual in English and Spanish is desiredCompensation
