US Airways Vacations Revenue Mgmt Sr. Analyst

Job Description:  This position has the responsibility of pricing the various components of vacation packages and preparing all of the necessary analytical reports used to determine the revenue performance of US Airways Vacations. Prepares annual revenue/margin plan. Analyzes competitive market changes. Performs detailed analysis of revenue streams by origin points. Analyzes historical booking trends and advanced bookings. Trains new analysts. Represents Revenue Management on interdepartmental/cross-functional teams. Identifies and presents profitability improvement ideas to senior managementPrepares daily/weekly/monthly revenue performance reports. Additionally, preparing all of the necessary analysis to determine the profitability od all aspects of US Airways Vacations-package pricing, marketing, sales, call center operations, multiple internet bookings sites, alliance agreements, proposals for new selling, call center operations, multiple internet booking sites, alliance agreements, proposals for new selling channels, and numerous ad-hoc projects. Sr Analyst must demonstrate initiative by identifying and quantifying new and different ways for USV to sell its products. Use spreadsheet/quantitative analysis to measure revenue/expense performance of all aspects of US Airways Vacations. Preparing daily/ weekly/ monthly revenue and expense forecasts and analysis/Responsible for preparing and annual Revenue/ Margin plan. Prepares annual revenue/margin plan. Analyzes competitive market changes. Prepares annual revenue/margin plan. Analyzes competitive market changes. Performs detailed analysis of revenue streams by origin points. Minimum Requirements:

 

Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field and/or equivalent training/experience
Advanced degree in economics, statistics, mathematics, or business preferred
Significant pricing and/or revenue management experience
Knowledge of economics, statistics, and marketing§ Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Strong problem-solving skills, with ability to logically structure an appropriate analytical framework
