Software Engineer II - Synergy/DOORS Administrator

Principal Accountabilities/Responsibilities:Maintenance of existing DOORS/Synergy databases located at multiple sites (CA, WA)Design, develop, test, and deploy new DOORS/Synergy databases at multiple sites.Develop and implement common best practices for DOORS/Synergy database design and implementation across multiple sites.Migration of existing databases to more efficient client-server environments that are suitable for use by multiple simultaneous users across multiple sites.Create and maintain common DOORS/Synergy templates.Analyze existing processes and develop DXL scripts to enhance productivity.Develop training material.  Use material to train and mentor users.Respond to user requests regarding DOORS/Synergy database problems.  This includes resolving trouble calls, documenting problems through to resolution, and providing ongoing feedback to the users.Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair DOORS/Synergy problems.Assist users as required with all aspects of DOORS/Synergy system administration duties.

 

Qualifications:BS/BA in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.Minimum 3 years DOORS/Synergy experience.Minimum 1 year DOORS/Synergy system administration experience.Very good knowledge of software life cycle processes.Knowledge of RTCA DO/178B a plusProficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Access, Excel).Strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience in developing, testing, and implementing DXL scripts.
