Software Engineer

Perform Verification and Validation (V&V) of the Space Shuttle Main Engine Controller (SSMEC) and/or J-2X Controller software in a real-time Hardware In The Loop (HITL) environment. This includes the development, execution and review of automated Test Scripts. Uses software development and programming practices, procedures and applications to code, test, debug, document, and maintain software products. Supports project leader as a team member and gains exposure to working with customers. Applies complex, technical professional skills and related concepts, practices, and methods. Exercises broad latitude and engineering judgment in determining technical solutions. Provide leadership to junior engineers.

Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or mathematics. Experience in an engineering classification. Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering disciplines preferred.

REQUIRED: Knowledge of, or experience with C/C++, software testing. Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve complex problems. Ability to work, status and prioritize multiple tasks concurrently. Excellent oral and written skills.
DESIRED: Knowledge of, or experience with embedded systems, Fast Fourier Transforms (FFTs), Motorola 68000, and/or Texas Instruments C40 series Digital System Processor (DSP). System Engineering experience.
