Quality Engineer

Quality Engineer Description: The Quality Engineer is responsible for identifying and eliminating poor quality trends in the Company's systems. Must develop cause and corrective/preventive action plans that support company objectives and be willing to complete a variety of tasks to ensure that action plans are completed on schedule.

Requirements:
A. Essential Functions
1. Capable of analyzing rejections and quality trend data.
2. Capable of initiating cause and corrective/preventive action requests.
3. Capable of developing, managing, and completing cause and
corrective/preventive action plans.
4. Capable of leading cause and corrective/preventive action teams.
5. Capable of developing project plans and action logs using MS Project, MS Word, MS Excel, and Visio.
6. Capable of developing and conducting “Design of Experiments”, data
collection, and other process measurement techniques relevant to cause and corrective/preventive action projects.
7. Capable of reviewing and approving manufacturing planning for compliance with customer expectations.
8. Maintain organized work area
9. Other related duties as assigned
B. Knowledge and Abilities
1. Must be able to read and correctly interpret product drawings and related specifications to the extent necessary for the completion of essential functions.
2. Maintain the confidentiality of all Company records.
3. Ability to communicate effectively with employees, customers, suppliers and the public

MENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
1. Able to read and comply with company policies, work instructions, quality assurance
procedures
2. Able to read at a 12th grade level
3. Able to effectively work under strict production deadlines and schedules

5. Able to effectively manage stress
V. PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
1. Normal or correctable hearing
2. Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time
3. Correctable vision to 20-20
4. Ability to lift 50 lbs either individually or with assistance

WORK RELATIONSHIPS
1. Able to work effectively with Client staff, vendors and customer representatives
2. Help create, improve, and use visual job aids and work instructions
3. Able to communicate effectively
4. Able to work cooperatively as part of a team

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. College or Technical School degree in an Engineering discipline or other related field
2. Minimum of 5 years experience in quality engineering

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
1. Experience with aerospace product drawings and specifications
2. Experience with AS9100 or ISO 9000:2000 management systems
