LAN / WAN Engineer / Technician

Responsibilities:

 Provide installation and maintenance services for all Administrative networked personal computers and printers.  Ensure all standard software is installed and operational.  Ensure the systems are available for use by the employees.Provide maintenance services for all operational network equipment as directed by the Network and Security Operations Center.  The Operational Network is required to be operational 24 X 7 X 365.  Close coordination with the NOC / SOC for scheduled outages, maintenance tickets, and other services will be required to successfully maintain the operational network.Provide daily administration and maintenance support of systems under management to include servers, printers, network components, cabling, personal computers, audiovisual equipment and other office support equipment.Provide support and routine maintenance of the installed Avaya PBX system as required and directed by the NOC.  Prior experience with the support and maintenance of the Avaya PBX is not necessary.Install cabling and other network devices as required.Install and administer the servers associated with the administrative network providing general file and print services to the staff numbering 200 employees per site.Provide inventory control for all equipment within the facility associated with automation equipment. Ensure asset management database is current on a daily basis.

 

A Microsoft MCSE certification is required for this position.  Cisco router experience is a plus.  Prior work experience in support of Microsoft servers, personal computers, Cisco routers, and other networking components, and Unix servers will be highly desirable.
