Contracts Manager

Contracts Manager Description: The Contracts Manager is responsible for the administration/coordination and management of all commercial and government contracts, subcontracts and related documentation.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
Responsible for all contract activity within the company

Advise management of contractual rights, obligations and risk mitigation

Provide advice to project and line management in the interpretation and practical implication of contractual provisions and customer modifications

Develop and implement controls to monitor contractual performance

Participate in proposal preparation

Participates in contract negotiations with customers, working within the regulations of FAR and DFARS

Responsible for being the lead contracts professional, assisting and supervising other contracts personnel as required

Meets with customers to resolve important contract issues, concerns, disagreements and maintain goodwill

Negotiate government and commercial contracts

Work with accounting department on invoicing and contract management

Work with program managers to satisfy reporting requirements

Interact with various government funding agencies to provide contract support

Monitor contract performance

Provide sales and engineering information to potential and existing customers

Act as customer support liaison for compliance of delivery schedules, reporting requirements, complaints, continuing awards and federal guidelines

Maintain customer accounts and contract files

JOB ACCOUNTABILITY:
The Contracts Manager will perform cradle to grave contracts management tasks on assigned contract actions, both government and commercial to include CPFF, CPAF, FFP, and T&M. Will conduct bid/proposal preparation in accordance with RFP terms and conditions (strong pricing and coordination skills are a must) Candidate must be adaptable and responsive to both internal and external customers.







Requirements:
B.A. or B.S. in Business Administration or Accounting required
5-8 years experience in government contracting, preferably DOD and commercial
Minimum 5 years of experience working with FAR
Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
Accuracy and attention to detail
Computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets and databases
Excellent verbal and written communication skills essential

Position is open to US Citizens only
Applicants must be able to obtain a DOD Top Secret Level Security Clearance
Must be able to lift equipment up to 30 lbs
Overtime/weekend work may be required
Some travel, including international travel, required
