Aircraft Engine Trader

Our client, INVENTORY NAVIGATION (INN), www.inventorynavigation.com  wants to add an experienced, high energy engine trader to their staff in the Phoenix, Arizona area. INN is a buyer and supplier of commercial aircraft engines and engine parts. INN was created in 2000 as an out growth of a diverse group of globally operating relationship based aviation industry companies in business for 39 years. INN is identifying, creating and filling niche markets within the commercial aviation engine and engine parts aftermarket. The company is growing, well capitalized, comfortably profitable, and is establishing itself as a major player in the industry. This Trader position is an excellent opportunity to join a team of highly experienced and successful people in the aviation industry.  INN literally offers a “ground floor” opportunity for the right person. The company is able to capitalize on global industry relationships and capital resources of its Chicago area based parent companies – GAS Capital and General Aviation Technologies, www.gascapital.com. The combined annual revenues of these aviation industry companies under GAS Capital are in excess of $130 million.

 

INN is known for outstanding trace documentation and superior customer service.  Transactions to date include purchase and teardown of commercial aircraft engines and sale of engine parts to a number of aircraft operators.  The company is ISO 9001-2000 and FAA AC00-56-A certified. INN has specialized in the CF6-50 engine type and is now expanding into CF6-80 engine types. INN’s market consists of the global commercial aircraft industry.  The company focuses on engines viable in the cargo market as these engine types typically have the longest remaining life cycle (estimated 35 plus years). INN deals specifically in used engine products and thus does not compete with new engine manufacturers.

 

Our Trader position reports to the President of INN and will need to relocate to the Phoenix area. The Trader will be responsible and accountable to:

 

-  Trade in engine parts and parts packages including the acquisition of consignment stock

-  Build and maintain relationships with aircraft operators who are potential sellers and buyers of serviceable engines

-  Meet INN’s goals for serviceable engine purchases and serviceable engine sales

-  Build and maintain relationships with additional sources of engine sellers such as financial institutions

-  Meet INN’s goals for purchase of unserviceable engines for teardown

-  Build relationships with aircraft operators who are potential engine parts buyers and connect them with the INN internal engine parts sales staff

-  Able to consistently handle the detail required in engine deals on both the buy and sell sides

-  Developed contacts in the aviation engine and engine parts industry

-  Strong opportunity generator

-  Proven deal closer –both on buy and sell sides
