Aerospace Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Aerospace Engineer with a background in Avionics, Interiors, Systems, or Structures.  

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Primary area of focus is on Boeing 737 and MD-80 aircraft avionics, systems, structures, or interiors.  Prepare Engineering Orders to incorporate FAA mandated Airworthiness Directives, Federal Aviation Regulation changes, airframe manufacturer Service Bulletins, and component manufacturer Service Bulletins. Investigate, analyze, and implement corrective action for reliability problems associated with Alaska Airlines fleet of 737-200/-400/-700/-900 and MD-80 aircraft.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Theoretical and practical knowledge of 737 and MD-80 aircraft avionics, systems, structures, or interiors. Familiarity with FAA regulations and the Supplemental Type Certification process related to aircraft configuration changes. Strong analytical ability, particularly in identifying problems and significant trends. The ability to balance multiple tasks and an aptitude for project management. Strong oral and written communication skills.

 

Education:

B.S. degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical or Electrical Engineering
