We currently have an opening for an Aerospace Airline Application Analyst.
Tectura has an opening for an Aerospace Application Analyst for airline maintenance and operations support systems. The analyst will perform analysis, research, and definition of system requirements for system implementations, sustaining support, and integration with other associated applications. Document user needs, product features, program functions, and create detailed specifications that identify the steps required to develop or to modify software that meet customer needs. Prepare workflow charts and diagrams to specify the operations to be performed. Recommend alternative solutions for business problems that support product vision. Assist in the preparation of feasibility studies and project plans. Ensure that the applications are in compliance with current program methodologies and quality processes. Provide guidance and training to airline customers in the use of the applications. This may be accomplished in visits to airline customers, teleconferences, e-mail or through bulletin board posts. Assist customers in resolving application problems from identification of problem through resolution. Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle using common software development processes. Interface with application users, other department application maintenance personnel, programmer/analysts, and other technical support personnel. Participate in process improvement activities.
Required Skills: A bachelor's degree appropriate to supported area or in computer science and 10 years experience or a master's degree and 8 years experience is preferred. • Knowledge of airplane systems and airplane maintenance concepts and processes is required. • Strong computing background with good project and work management skills is preferred. • The ability to work as part of cross-functional teams is a must, as is excellent written, oral and presentation skills. • Experience working directly with airline customers is preferred. • Experience in requirements gathering, business process analysis and defining user needs is preferred. • Experience with Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
