Statistical Analyst

 

Arizona-based retailer is seeking a Statistical Analyst to join their team.  This individual will be responsible for playing a key role in gaining insights on customer behaviors and in identifying opportunities to develop CRM and Direct Marketing initiatives. Will analyze all aspects of the catalog, dot com and retail businesses using a combination of standard reports and ad hoc analyses.

 

Responsibilities:

 Work with marketing to develop customer profiling and segmentation strategyPerform data mining of database and analyze relevant customer metricsAnalyze marketing performance based on the segments, and recommend contact strategies which maximize revenue and profitHelp drive marketing and business strategies by identifying analysis opportunities, planning and executing the analyses, analyzing the results and making recommendationsDevelop statistical models for predicting customer response, prospecting, likelihood to purchase and amount of purchaseAnalyze current process for getting information from database and suggest short-term and long-term improvements

 

Requirements:

 At least 4 years progressive experience in database marketing, business analysis, or analytical analysis, with proven ability to plan, analyze and recommend strategy and tactics, develop reporting, manage data efficiently, and apply statistical approachesExperience with database marketing in a multi-channel business, where direct marketing via catalogs is a key channelExtensive experience manipulating large datasets and comfortable working in SAS Enterprise Miner and Oracle database environment Proficient in SQL, SAS and MS ExcelGood project and time management skills, with the ability to multi-task, set deadlines, and deliver under pressure with limited time and resources</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skillsHigh attention to detailGood team player
