Regional Manager

TEAM is an event and promotional marketing company looking for a full time Regional Manager to cover the market area of Arizona, Vegas, San Diego and Hawaii to assist in the brand awareness of a popular beverage brand.  TEAM Regional Managers are responsible for recruiting, hiring and managing local market personnel to execute client programs.  Maintain strong client relationships by utilizing superior communication skills.  Track, measure, and communicate results to TEAM, Client and direct reports.

 

 People Development Responsibilities:

 

· Recruit quality personnel to execute client programs.

· Conduct pre screen interviews of all candidates and work with client to make final selections.

· Complete background, reference checks, and status change forms on all personnel.

· Ensure seamless on boarding of all new employees.

· Develop orientation program (first 8 weeks) for all new employees.

· Work with all new employees to ensure a complete understanding of job responsibilities and all administrative responsibilities. These include: program tracking, daily activity reports, monthly activity reports, monthly promotional calendars, route books, account profile sheets, retail trac, monthly expense system.

· Develop performance plans for all employees.

· Provide one on one feedback on a monthly basis.

· Work in field with at least one direct report on a weekly basis

· Provide clear direction and expectations for all tasks and requested information.

· Provide all pertinent information to the employee about the client’s products and industry specifics.

· Provide strong leadership skills to develop personnel and educate them on the importance of all administrative requests and execution activities

· Ensure employees are meeting all client objectives.

· Effectively manage any performance issues in a timely manner and within TEAM policies and procedures.  Act with a sense of urgency

 

Client Relationship Responsibilities:

 Ensure Team Enterprise objectives for all direct reports clearly aligns with client objectivesMaintain regular contact and communication between client field personnel and Team Enterprise.  Fulfill all client requests in a timely manner.  These may include program recaps, results and budget updates etc.Meet with client to gather information to keep self and team updated on product and industry knowledgeRequest regular feedback from client on TEAM and field personnel execution to evolve program and exceed client expectations  Involve client personnel in final selection process of field personnelGather and report all pertinent competitive activity to TEAM management and clientTrack performance and market trends in assigned markets, benchmark against competition, and provide feedback to client on a regular basisAlways sell TEAM’s value to the client and uncover additional opportunities for TEAM to serve the clientConduct all episodic training for local MBCo and Distributor personnel

 

 

 

Field Execution Responsibiities:

 Ensure field personnel recruit and hire quality promotional staff that are knowledgeable about the client’s products and promotionsEnsure field personnel conduct regular training of promotional staffEnsure field personnel and promotional staff conduct promotions to TEAM and client standardsEnsure direct reports provide feedback to promotional staff after all promotions to provide both positive and constructive feedback to improve resultsEnsure all field personnel have a pre plan for calling on accounts and that they develop a monthly promotion plan scheduleRide with personnel to ensure that they are developing Win-Win relationships with key accounts.  Identify opportunities to grow the business for field personnel and follow up on future visits to make certain all opportunities were secured Ensure all client goals and objectives are sold and executed to accountsPersonally develop productive relationships with key retailers within direct report territories Complete audits of field manager promotions to ensure all personnel meet Team and client objectivesEnsure field personnel are completing the required daily account sales calls and pre merchandising accounts prior to executing promotions. Ensure daily account call sheets are completed by field personnelExecute all special events, and local SWAT events

 

Administrative Responsibilities:

 

· Maintain accurate employee files with proper documentation of performance against defined job objectives

· Develop a monthly work plan and communicate it to both management and direct reports

· Complete all paperwork in a complete and timely manner

· Complete audits of field personnel workbooks to ensure no fraudulent activities take place

· Transfer key learnings and ideas from all markets to improve the overall results for the client

· Manage all informational requests of field personnel and recap key takeaways for TEAM management.

· Complete RM work with checklist and provide meaningful feedback to all personnel whenever making a market visit. This should be done at least once per week

· Manage and review all program budgets on a monthly basis to insure all expenditures are in alignment with client direction

· Own the integrity of all reporting of information

 

Qualifications:

 College degree preferred and 1-3 years of people management experienceCandidates must be familiar with on premise marketing initiatives.  Prior promotion agency experience preferred.Must demonstrate strong interpersonal and leadership skills.Must have strong oral and written communication skillsMust have strong problem solving and motivational skillsMust have good computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPointMust have the ability to gather information, analyze information and report key insights with recommendations for solutionsOwn the gathering, classification, and the integrity of data gathered in assigned market. Familiarity with market and accounts catering to the pack consumer.Must be willing to travel to assigned market areas at least once a monthMust have infectious attitude and demonstrate strong work ethicTypical work week varies from week to week to include nights and weekends
