Product Marketing Manager, Contract position

SummaryAt this time this is a contract position, responsible for developing and executing marketing programs that relate directly to driving new business, growing current business, expanding market share, and increasing revenues. The Product Marketing Manager will assist in defining market needs and product requirements, develop product plans, position product in market, coordinate product launches, and generate marketing campaigns. Additionally this individual will provide selling strategies, product information, product knowledge and sales support to the Thomson NETg sales organizations. Description Work closely with product management to understand product and service features, functionality and customer benefits. Oversee the planning and execution of related launch activities-from initial development of a comprehensive Launch Kit to marketing campaigns. Manage product marketing efforts on an ongoing basis with internal departments and third party providers as appropriate. Work with Creative Services, PR, and Events team to elevate the Learn Now brand and ensure product positioning is accurate. Participate in and be responsible for high-level overview during sales training and production of requisite sales tools/collateral for products and services (spec sheets, FAQs, web demos, etc.). Analyze competitive information and market research to create, implement or oversee development of collateral, sales tools, web site content, white papers, that is consistent with our corporate positioning. Work with sales and marketing management to gather insight and recommendations on sales materials, collateral, web site, white papers, lead generation programs and act as a liaison with these departments, representing all interests and then communicating requirements in defined project plans and executive strategies. Four-year college degree in a relevant field (marketing, business administration, and business communications) preferred.

Experience
Two to five years of product marketing/marketing experience ideally in a software environment, training, or related industry. Proven track record of launching new products on time. Proven track record of successfully defining and implementing marketing programs with coordination between various departments to insure positive results. Must be resourceful, decisive, and resilient while using good judgment and problem-solving skills with capability of juggling multiple projects and adjusting priorities in a fast-paced environment Be a team player and demonstrate positive interpersonal skills. Ability to work well with diverse job functions and individuals and forge positive relationships Excellent written, interpersonal, and collaborative skills Strong analytical skills with the ability to draw conclusions and make recommendations based on analysis
