The Online Social Media Specialist will be responsible for launching and evaluating an aggressive social networking campaign for PR and search engine optimization purposes. The Online Social Media Specialist will evaluate and target appropriate sites to generate content for PR and SEO purposes and will help determine and meet the expectations for the campaign under the direction of the Web Operations Manager.

 

Under the guidance of the Web Operations Manager, the Social Networker will be the company spokesperson in social networking sites (such as MySpace, Digg, Forums, Blogs, etc). The Social Networker is responsible for developing an appropriate online personality as an “early adopter” that will promote a good online image for NextStudent.

 

 

Ongoing Job Responsibilities:Develops and maintains online personality Identifies and presents social networking opportunities Writes and comments on forums and blogsTracks and evaluates progress and resultsIdentifies new opportunities for social networking and SEOCompiles media information/statisticsIdentifies and presents opportunities to saturate the internet with links back to our websites



Requirements:Bachelor's degree in related field, or 1-3 years experienceMust have understanding and experience with internet marketingMust have understanding of Search Engine OptimizationMust have knowledge of social networking sites, forums, and blogsStrong written and oral communications Project and time management skillsEffective interpersonal skillsSelf-starter, eager to tackle challenging projects and assignments, able to multi-task Able to translate business goals, initiatives and technical information into projectsSkilled in Microsoft programs, especially Excel and Word Creative team player

 


Preferences:Experience in marketing or marketing communications fieldsExperience with social networkingExperience in high-tech business-to-business organizations

HTML, SQL, C# skills preferred but not required
