Direct Marketing Specialist

Premier electronics manufacturer specializing in universal power adapters has an opportunity for a dynamic and creative marketing professional.  This individual will report to the Vice President of Marketing and will assist the marketing team in the development and execution of various marketing programs including: public relations, marketing communications and direct marketing. The company is just beginning to create their direct to consumer marketing so this person will be able to help build campaigns and messages from the ground floor. Direct marketing experience is key.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

·  Assist with public relations activities including: gathering story data from sales/product managers/company management, managing approvals, consolidating edits, tracking of PR activity and publication of results to company web sites.

·  Drive direct marketing programs (catalog, email campaigns, advertising).  Assist with determining ROI on the various campaigns.

·  Gather materials needed for legal resources to register and protect company trademarks (examples – product logos, taglines, product names).

·  Project management for packaging, data sheets, user guides and compatibility charts: Managing approvals and consolidating edits.

·  Copy Writing:

o Web

o Catalog

o Packaging

o Ads

o Newsletter

o Customer Testimonials and Case Studies

·  Develop product and corporate presentations.

·  Develop POP materials both domestically and/or internationally.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

·  Expert knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

·  Strong writing, communication and analytical skills.

·  5-7 years of marketing experience including direct marekting.

·  Meticulous attention to detail.

·  Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

·  Works well under pressure and can maintain a professional demeanor within variable deadlines.

 

EDUCATION:

·  Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
