Communication Specialist

Communication Specialist will assist with management of Resolution Copper’s role in social responsibility with a primary focus on internal communications and community relations. Provides additional support as needed to the department.

 

Responsibilities include:

 
Coordinates, produces and oversees development of all internal communications including writing, editing and distribution
Prepare, edit and distribute through appropriate channels employee newsletters and e news briefs
Coordinates new hire announcements and contractor efforts for distribution to the various publics
Manages department and company-wide communication initiatives from planning to execution
Manages content for Intranet site
Coordinates all company-wide events including regular monthly forums and special events
Crafts regular press releases; ad copy and website updates
Coordinates corporate-wide employee volunteerism initiatives
Supports internal communications including employee surveys and communicaitons plans
Supports cross-departmental communications
Assists in generating publicity for appropriate community and employee relations efforts
Supports initatives related to Resolution’s community and  employee relations efforts
Coordinates community report data, including analyzing the results of community activities
Provides tactical support for educational programs

·  Provides tactical support for corporate contributions

 

Requirements include:
Bachelors degree
Skills to speak and write clearly and concisely in conveying messages to a variety of audiences
Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
Ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage multiple projects
Ability to meet tight deadlines
Ability to work independently and manage time and tasks effectively
Three to five years of experience in a similar setting
Bilingual a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Highly motivated and able to work as part of a team
