Telephone Switchboard Operator- LAST SHIFT

Description We are currently accepting applications for Full-Time (as needed) Telephone/Switchboard Operators for our Worcester office. We are looking for individuals who are available to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Position includes operating telephone control board and paging system, dispatching incoming calls, and paging internal and on-call clinical staff during and after regular business hours.

Experience Preferred: individuals with previous operator/switchboard and customer service experience, along with basic computer skills and knowledge of MS products. Medical Terminology certified or equivalent experience is helpful.

REPRESENTATIVE PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*

Answers phones and routes incoming calls to appropriate offices or personnel; Dispatch emergency Code calls to clinical personnel.

Processes paperwork in an efficient manner according to set procedures. This includes proper filing and distribution of clinical on-call schedules and wireless devices.

Education and Typical Years of Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Medical Terminology certified or equivalent experience is helpful.

Typing of 50 words per minute with fewer than 5 errors for those positions requiring typing.

Good verbal and written communication skills to include proper vocabulary, spelling, grammar and sentence structure. For positions with telephone duties, excellent verbal communication and customer service skills

 Special Requirements 

**This is an 11PM-7am schedule!!** Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays AS NEEDED. **Knowledge and EXPERIENCE with MS Office (including EXCEL).** Medical Terminology certified and equivalent experience is helpful
