Lead Customer Service Operator

One of Lanier's most comprehensive document solutions is Lanier Professional Services (LPS), which enables organizations to outsource functions like mail room management, copy centers, office machine fleet management, commercial printing and host printing - so our customers can reduce operating costs and devote more resources to core competencies, without sacrificing quality or accuracy.

 

LPS teams include highly trained customer service representatives and technical support personnel. We have access to state-of-the art equipment for every application. We specialize in reliable performance, high-quality service and long-term strategic partnerships with customers.

 

Lanier Professional Services has a brand new opportunity opening up in the Indianapolis area, where we will be responsible for managing and operating mail services, copy services and delivery for a major trucking company.  We are looking for an experienced and intelligent person, who can wear many hats, to join a growing and developing Indianapolis team.

 

As the sole supplier of office services, your responsibilities will include:

 
Sorting and distributing mail, including interoffice, USPS, UPS and overnight mail.

· Coordinating and preparing projects for printing in the copy center, including electronic file conversion, document scanning and enhancement, from start to delivery.
Responding to first level phone calls from end users of equipment to determine the problems, clear paper jams, run test copies and determine status of machines.
Provide scheduled trips to all machines to conduct cleaning of the glass, toner replacement, stocking paper and general cleaning of work area.
Train end users to properly use all Lanier equipment.
Assist end users on the loading of print drivers.
Run reports as requested.
Communicate with customer to ensure that services are performed at or above expectations
For all employees, your outstanding customer service skills will be demonstrated as you interact daily in person and on the phone with our customers directly.

 

***This is a unique environment:  your day will be spent working in a foundry type location, walking on catwalks over blast furnaces to deliver the mail and copy jobs and oversee equipment.***

 

To qualify for our positions, you MUST meet the following requirements:

 
A minimum of 1 year experience in any one of the following environments:  corporate mail room, retail mail services, government mail services, corporate copy center, or retail copy/print services.
At least 2 years of face-to-face customer service experience with a proven track record of keeping customers happy.
Stable job history with no more than 3 jobs in the past 5 years.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Intermediate level knowledge of MS Office programs, including email and internet familiarity.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including professional grammar skills and speaking voice.
Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task.
Ability to lift 40+ lbs. as necessary.
Physical ability to hand the unique environment of working in a foundry type location, walking on catwalks, over blast furnaces, to deliver the mail and copy jobs.
