SUMMARY OF POSITION
Responsible for the administrative function of various employee benefit plans including life, health and disability coverages.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
ˇ Process enrollments, status changes, evidence of insurability documents and terminations for plan participants.
ˇ Provide customer service to clients, employers, brokers, marketing representatives and vendors.
ˇ Maintain vendor contact to investigate discrepancies and provide various reports and notifications in non-routine situations.
ˇ Mails out specified forms and documents.
ˇ Verify and distribute client ID cards.
ˇ Generate monthly administration reports for distribution processing units.
ˇ Other duties may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
ˇ High School diploma and/or Business School diploma and 1 to 2 years' office work experience and/or training.
ˇ Possess accurate date entry skills along with a high level of attention to detail.
ˇ Capable of reading and interpreting documents, producing routine reports and writing basic correspondence.
ˇ Ability to effectively communicate with clients, vendors and co-workers.
ˇ Skilled in the calculation of figures and applications of concepts such as percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
ˇ Working knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel and web applications.
ˇ General understanding of employee benefit plans a plus.
