POSITION SUMMARY
Financial Systems Programmer/Analyst in client/server and web environment. Core responsibilities include SQL Server System Administration, Elite software implementation and analysis, programming and custom report generation in Visual Basic, ASP, Access and technical support. Act as resource to others within and outside of the group and department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSInstall/implement software, upgrades, and system patches for SQL Server.Design and develop (or modify existing) custom reports developed in Access, SQL, and Data Warehouse (SQL Server), Crystal Reports, Visual Basic and MicroSoft Reporting services.Perform database administration tasks including monitoring SQL Server database processes and database activity, performance, and space.Develop and maintain SQL scripts that perform various database or system tasks (database loads, maintenance tasks, updates).Troubleshoot, analyze, and fix problems related to Elite, Apex, DTE, Data Warehouse, FRX, ARCS, EEDR, PATTSY, ProLaw, eRoom and other software/applications supported by the Financial systems group.Work on various projects related to the evaluation, testing, and deployment of new software systems and technology related to Elite, Apex, DTE, Data Warehouse, FRX, ARCS, EEDR, PATTSY, ProLaw, eRoom and other software/applications supported by the Financial systems group.Develop web-based content and applications. Analyze, design, and develop applications for supplying content for the intranet/extranet.Provide off-hours and weekend "on call" technical support. Periodic travel and shift-work may be required.Coordinate special projects as assigned by the Financial Systems Manager, S&T Director of Application, Chief Information Officer, or Chief Financial Officer.Serve as a resource to and liaison with user groups including, but not limited to, Data Processing, Human Resources, and Accounting/Billing. Participate in relevant Accounting, DP, HR, etc., meetings.Identify improvements to Elite and internal systems/procedures and present to the Financial Systems Manager. May volunteer or be selected to serve on special committees, work groups, project teams, or escalation teams related to various firmwide S&T initiatives. Initiatives may be specific one-time events (e.g., research, testing, rollouts, upgrades, installations) or ongoing activities.
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in computer-related field or equivalent experience and training.
EXPERIENCE:
Relational database design, SQL programming, PC/workstations, SQL Server, Crystal Reports, and programming experience required. Financial applications experience is preferred. Experience with Active Server Pages, JavaScript, Visual Basic, SQL Server, Citrix, MicroSoft Reporting services and Access also required.
SKILLS:
Working knowledge of database/application development utilizing SQL, database administration with SQL Server, Crystal Reports, Citrix, MS Reporting Services and MS Access. Must be able to prioritize and organize workload, handle multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment, and perform well under pressure. Strong analytical, learning, interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills. Ability to work independently, as part of a team. Able to work effectively with all organizational levels. Adept at solving problems and finding quick solutions to meet customer needs.

Must be able to deal with stress associated with a fast paced work environment, including handling multiple tasks on a daily basis.
