COMPANY BACKGROUND:
Creative Renovations, Inc. (Do Not Contact Creative Renovations Directly) is a fast growing general contractor located in Shelbyville, Indiana that specializes in repairing properties for those who have had losses due to fire, storm damage, flooding, etc. We take pride in taking care of these customers as quickly as possible to help them recover from their losses. As a result, our work environment can be very fast paced during times when numerous losses occur. Our team consists of energetic people and we hope to find an individual that will fit nicely into this position and become an important member of this exceptional team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
As our Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant, your ability to effectively work in our fast paced environment and ensure that certain financial transactions are reported accurately and timely is essential. In addition, you will be responsible for assisting with administrative functions, including some human resources, receptionist duties and other projects as assigned. You will also have direct contact with other company employees, customers and vendors on a daily basis. Your experience using QuickBooks Pro is important as our company utilizes this software for its general financial reports and job tracking. We are looking for someone who is seeking a good deal of variety on a daily basis and is willing to complete the tasks that are necessary to help ensure our company is successful.
Key responsibilities include: Provide general daily bookkeeping duties in the office including receivables, payables, bill payment, payroll related and other general related functions.Ensure that job supervisors receive the appropriate administrative support.Serve as the backup receptionist on a daily basis and ensure customers and vendors are appropriately serviced and/or routed to the appropriate personnel.Handle certain human resources functions.Ensure that customer job files are organized and appropriately maintained.Complete other various administrative projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping and administrative experience. Prefer an Associates Degree in accounting or equivalent experience.Hard working team player who can easily adapt to changing needs.Very customer service oriented.Must be highly proficient in MS Word, Excel, and QuickBooks.Strong desire to learn and excel!
