ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Job Purpose:
Provides support to the Academy of Actuaries, primarily within the public policy department. Respond to requests for information from Academy members.
Duties:
* Respond to information requests from association members; coordinate mass mailings.
* Respond to requests for public policy documents (e.g., law manuals, issue briefs, monographs, etc.)
* Assist in arranging meetings and conference calls.
* Prepare mailings to members, congressional staff and other audiences.
* Maintain and update committee lists and outside mailing lists.
* Provides information by answering questions and requests.
*Provide other duties as needed to accomplish Academy/department initiatives (e.g., assisting with logistics of Hill briefings).
* Provide coverage for receptionist.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Necessary:
Requires strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects to closure. MS Office products computer proficiency required. Admin. with 3 to 4 years. experience supporting a department a plus!
