Position Description:
As part of the tax team, the Tax Senior Associate will be responsible for:

Tax preparation for a variety of industries.

Preparing returns in an efficient and timely manner with an emphasis on quality.

Ensuring professional development through ongoing education and obtaining additional certifications as appropriate.

Providing timely, high quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectations.

Providing financial and assurance tax advice that enables the client to increase shareholder value.

Delivering timely, high quality, and profitable services, that
appropriately utilize Firm and client resources.

Demonstrating commitment to the Firm’s People Philosophy by modeling appropriate behaviors, and acting with respect and dignity in interactions inside and outside the Firm.

Keeping abreast of latest developments as they relate to tax regulations and policies

Developing competencies through continuing education and by obtaining additional professional certifications.

Demonstrating expertise in an industry or functional area and building a strong reputation in the marketplace.

Providing appropriate and timely performance feedback to those supervised.

Initiating “cross selling” to other practices.

Position Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have recent experience within a Public Accounting firm, and have expertise in all aspects of tax preparation and compliance.
To be considered, candidates should have:

Minimum of 3 years recent experience in Public Accounting with an emphasis in taxation.

Solid understanding of tax code and all technical aspects of tax preparation and compliance.

A proven record of simultaneously managing multiple projects and engagement teams for various clients.

Ability to read and understand audit work papers and prepare tax returns for a variety of industries.

A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or closely related field.

Additional Experience Preferred, but not Required:

CPA is a plus.

Experience with S Corporations and Partnerships preferred.

Experience with corporations and consolidated returns is preferred.

Experience with multi-state returns is preferred.

Basic understanding of tax research is preferred.
