Position:

 



Tax Manager will be responsible for performing complex tax preparation, tax research, and tax planning with minimal supervision. Provide work directions and technical guidance to less experienced staff. Will contact clients to resolve all tax related matters. Implement tax preparation for company and clients.

Prepare complex income, franchise, excise, general corporate taxes (federal and state), sales/use taxes, payroll taxes, and property taxes. Conduct, manage, negotiate and settle tax audits for both federal and state taxes Reviews tax work of subordinates.Train, mentors and provides work direction to staff.Reviews tax information supplied by client, may meet with or call client with questions.Recognizes, anticipates and resolves tax issues, makes recommendations.Promotes firm services to existing and prospective clients.Meets productivity and efficiently standards (billable hours)

 

 





Requirements:

 

High level technical expertise in the full range of issues.Excellent analytical, organizational and project management skills.Ability to manage and develop staffAbility to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities is required.Ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.Demonstrated mentoring, coaching and organizational administrative skills required.Ability to perform tax planning and tax due diligenceAbility to identify outside consulting need and present financial and business case metrics.Well-developed presentation skillsExcellent customer relationship skillsReal Estate experience a plus

 



Minimum Qualifications

 Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Masters or Advanced degree a plus5+ years of tax experience with at least 3 years of mid-level compliance work (complex returns, basic consolidated tax returns, complex 1040's, partnerships).Working knowledge of tax code, tax regulations



 Progressive accounting experience in public accounting or similar work environment.S Strong organization, oral and written communication skills. Ability to work with all personnel within the organization and facilitate communication effectively. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines. Must be a team player/flexible and able to work in fast paced/changing environment. Knowledge of Microsoft Office software - Excel, Word and Access.
Experience with ProFx, Tax research software a plus.
