Tax Director to $135,000

Fortune company located in Northern, NJ has an excellent opportunity for an AVP of State and Local Tax. This AVP will report to the VP, State & Local Tax, and will be responsible for income tax related compliance and audit support. Responsibilities include the following: • Effective Tax Rate - Work with state Tax Team to conduct an in-depth review of the state apportionment data gathering process to increase efficiencies. Work with BU’s to enhance quality of data by state and legal entity. • Audits: Implement an automated system to monitor and summarize information for federal and state income tax audits. Implement policy for SEC quarterly reporting for adherence to FIN 48. • Participate in the review of state tax modifications prepared by state income tax team for annual income tax return preparation and quarterly estimated tax payments - state tax deduction, interest disallowance modifications, state depreciation and gain/(loss) modifications, dividends deductions, NOL’s. • Assign states to team members to be reviewed for law changes and federal and state audit changes. Enhance system to monitor for impact on deferred taxes and current taxes payable.
