Our client, an SEC manufacturing corporation in Metro Detroit, is seeking candidates to join its’ Tax Services Team to be responsible for various Federal, State and Local and Research and Development tax issues and special projects for it’s North American (U.S./Canada) and International facilities/clients.




Staff Tax Accountant
Areas of Responsibility

• State/federal tax compliance
o preparation of income tax returns, estimates and extensions
o preparation and review of sales and use tax returns
• Tax accounting
• Preparation and analysis of tax provisions
• Federal & state audit assistance
• Special tax projects
• Supervision (external and/or internal)

Position Requirements

• 1-4 years of state and/or federal tax experience
• Accounting degree., CPA, MST, JD preferred.
• Strong accounting and analytical skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Experience in income tax accounting and the tax provision process.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong computer skills.
• Highly motivated - self starter.



Senior Tax Accountant
Areas of Responsibility

• State/federal tax compliance
o Preparation and review of income tax returns, estimates and extensions
o preparation and review of sales and use tax returns
• Tax accounting
• Preparation and review of tax provisions
• Federal & state audit management
• Special tax projects
• Supervision (external and/or internal personnel)

Position Requirements

• 4 + years of state and/or federal tax experience
• Accounting degree, CPA, MST, JD preferred
• Strong accounting and analytical skills.
• Research and planning experience
• Experience dealing with outside tax auditors and audit management
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Experience in income tax accounting and the tax provision process.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong computer skills.
• Highly motivated - self starter.
