 Description

•Assist in the preparation of the Consolidated Federal tax provision
•Perform federal and state tax research projects as needed
•Assist on federal, state income/franchise tax and sales/use tax audits
•Provide monthly analysis of Balance Sheet accounts
•Analyze and respond to information notices from both federal and state tax authorities
•Gather and analyze information necessary to file income and franchise tax return - apportionment data, etc.
•Administer and maintain tax compliance calendar
•Assist in the preparation of quarterly tax packages
•Special projects as required
•Interacting with vendors and plant controllers on sales and tax issues
•Preparation of quarterly estimated tax payments


 Required Skills

MBA and/or CPA required

 Required Experience

-BS degree in Accounting required
-Masters Degree in Taxation and CPA/CMA preferred
-Current understanding of US Federal and all State corporate tax laws
-Utilize Internet Tax Services to perform tax research
-3-5 years experience in Federal/State corporate tax function
-Strong analytical skills
-Ability to work well under pressure and complete multiple projects with tight deadlines
-Excellent organization skills and ability to understand and analyze data logically
-Excellent oral and written communication skills
-Must be a self starter and a team player
