Staff Accountant

A Leading Consumer Products Company located in Essex County, New Jersey is searching for a Staff Accountant who will handle the following responsibilities:

 

-Financial, analytical, statistical and technical accounting tasks applying generally accepted accounting procedures and practices

- Complete all bank reconciliation’s for HQ & Direct Ops Bank correspondence follow-up on bank errors NFS checks

- Discrepancies and unrecognized items on bank statement Reconciliation of major & minor general ledger accounts

- Schedule preparation for monthly work papers

- Journal entry preparation and input Long term and short term leasing

- Special projects as needed

 

Qualified Candidates will posses:

- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

- 1+ years of experience

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, Excel and Word

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Experience with Oracle, specifically G/L, A/P, F/A

 

The total compensation range is from $40,000 to $45,000 with excellent benefits (medical, dental), and 401k plan with match.
