Staff Accountant

ReCellular, Inc., an award-winning, rapidly growing, global leader in the recycling, reuse and resale of personal electronic equipment, including cell phones, seeks a motivated, pro-active Staff Accountant to assist the Accounting Department to carry out programs and achieve goals. This position is responsible for analyzing financial information and preparing financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities with the organization.

 

Candidate will be required to complete month end journal entries; monthly revenue share and other program reporting as needed; monthly expense accrual analysis and verification; and weekly revenue and COGS account analysis.  Responsible for maintaining balance sheet account schedules and project summary spreadsheets.  Must be able to provide accurate and timely posting off all transactions; bank account reconciliations; and backup for daily cash and accounts receivable activities.

 

Must possess computer skills in Windows XP, MS word, Excel, Great Plains and Outlook; basic general ledger accounting skills; and excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Must be detail oriented, possessing excellent analytical skills; interact and work well with others in various environments/situations; and have effective problem solving skills.  Must have ability to prioritize, manage time and orchestrate multiple tasks; effectively work independently or in a team environment; and maintain confidentiality.  This position requires the equivalent of a Bachelors degree in Accounting or a related field, plus 3 years of accounting generalist experience.
