Sr. Accountant - Financial Reporting

Our client, a leading Atlanta based publicly traded company seeks a profesional to join it's coporate accounting team. This position is located within Corporate Financial Reporting, the group responsible for the consolidation and reporting of total Company financial results. This position will be responsible for executing certain critical routines which are part of the Company's financial reporting process. The individual would be involved in the review and validation of information submitted for actual reporting as well as rolling estimate, business plan and certain year end reporting. The individual will also be involved in completing ad hoc reporting and analysis requests.

 

 

Prepare footnotes to the annual report to ensure compliance with GAAP, Take required action (e.g., act as go-between, gather information, forward inquiries, do research) that answers, resolves, and responds to
inquiries that exist between two or more parties (e.g., corporate,
field, internal, external).

 

Prepare closing journal vouchers (e.g., accruals, reclassifications,
error corrections, corporate cash applications, benefits, inter-company
royalties, pro-rata and fees and commissions, fixed asset settlements) to
ensure financial records are properly stated.

 

Provide client with financial advice to ensure compliance with GAAP
and Company policies and procedures.

 

Review inputs to verify that data entered is complete and accurate.

 

Prepare balance sheet and cash flow statements using tools such as
SAP, Access, Excel, Essbase, and Oracle to report actual business
results.

 

Prepare information and/or documentation (e.g., cash disbursement
statements, accrual analyses, tax requests, loan allowance,
investments) as required for internal and external auditors, and the
Tax department.

 

Research, gather, and/or prepare documentation to support accounting
transaction (e.g., trade accounting estimates and basic accrual
calculations).

 

Obtain appropriate approvals for voucher in accordance with Company's
Chart of Authority.

 

Enter voucher in general ledger or corporate finance database using
tools such as a manual voucher, Excel voucher, or on-line voucher
system to record transaction.

 

Requirements:

 

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience; 5 + years experience; CPA or CPA tract; Recent Big 4 Public Accounting experience. About Hudson Financial Solutions
