Senior SOX Analyst

The Sarbanes-Oxley 404 Compliance Department is responsible for maintaining and monitoring Company’s  compliance with the requirements of Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 (SOX).

 

Responsibilities:

 

1.  Playing a leadership role in Company Corporation’s Business Transformation efforts to assist Process and System Owners identify SOX risks and design controls as appropriate.

2.  Evaluating the effectiveness of the internal control structure and quarterly SOX testing results to ensure control objectives are met and financial statement assertions are achieved.  Monitor closure of all remediation actions.

3.  Participating in business process reviews to provide risk and controls guidance to team leads to ensure efficiency and adequacy of controls. 

4.  Administering the SOX tool and approving quarterly control activity, test plan changes and assessment result data within the tool.  

5.  Effectively coordinating SOX Program Office activities with Process Owners, Internal and External Auditors and supporting the quarterly/annual SOX Sections 302 and 404 certification processes.

6.  Preparing various reports and materials for executive management.  Staying current on SOX best practices to be positioned to add value to the business.

 

Required/Essential:

 

* Strong communication skills and professional presence
* Good analytical, project management and multi-tasking skills
* Proficient computer skills (Excel/Word/ Powerpoint/Report Writing)
* 3-6 years internal/external auditing experience (Big 4 preferred), including one year exposure to Sarbanes-Oxley Sections 302 and 404, with the ability to apply the principles
* Working knowledge of COSO and internal controls framework, risk assessments and GAAP/SEC regulations
* Bachelors degree in Business, Accounting or Finance

* Broad exposure to diverse business environments and/or having the ability to quickly understand business processes to identify risks having a SOX impact
