Senior Manager Financial Strategies and Analysis

The incumbent is responsible for the financial strategies and analytic support for one or more credit card portfolios. Provide strategic and analytical financial support to business partners, including but not limited to Marketing and Risk. Perform and manage others to produce financial modeling, trend analysis, forecasts, profitability analysis and DCF / NPV valuations.



Develop a deep understanding of, and articulate to partners, the key drivers of the financial performance of the portfolio(s). Clearly explain the rationale for analytical results, including the process through which assumptions are developed. Ensure consistent forecast and analysis quality and oversee multiple and complex business initiatives.



Ensure deadlines are met. Proactively seek ways to improve our analytical methodologies, processes and procedures in order to meet the evolving strategic and tactical needs of the organization. Manage, assign, and review ad hoc projects for the business unit and occasionally across broader financial lines. Prepare and present recommendations to Senior Management. Lead, manage, develop, motivate and ensure the training of his/her staff, maximizing their value to the organization while providing for professional growth and career development.

Job Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a quantitative field

MBA with Finance and Accounting major preferred

Financial services and consumer lending is ideal

Supervisory experience is preferred

Five to seven years of business in a financial or related discipline, including time spent in financial analysis and forecasting

Strong analytical skills required

Must have a high level of understanding of financial forecasting / modeling techniques with a proven record of employing innovative solutions to analytical challenges

Demonstrated an aptitude for working with different levels of management across multiple functional units

Self-starter and have strong partnering and problem-solving abilities

Excellent verbal, written and communication skills
