Senior Internal Auditor

Responsibilities:
Determine and establish appropriate scope and control objectives for the area under review. Evaluate the systems of control to determine the areas of highest risk. Construct audit plans that utilize allocated hours and resources to address the high-exposure areas within the audit scope.
Design and execute audit programs to validate relevant control objectives. Review audit workpapers prepared or reviewed by internal audit team. Interpret the significance of test results and conclude on the reliability of control in the area under review. Recommend solutions to problems identified in test work.
Oversee the day-to-day administration of assigned projects including: supervision and training of staff; allocation of budgeted hours among audit functions; recording/monitoring audit efforts and tracking against allocated time budget; and providing staff auditors with technical counseling and direction. Prepare staff evaluations upon completion of assignment.

Qualifications:
4-year college degree in accounting, finance, business, computer science, or related field or equivalent work experience (5 years minimum). Advanced degree a plus.
5 or more years professional experience in Internal Audit or related field, including supervisory experience.
CPA, CIA, or applicable professional certification is preferred.
Strong working knowledge of auditing techniques, auditing standards and risk assessment approaches.
Knowledge and experience in the review of business processes, process reengineering and implementation of controls.
Excellent oral and written communication skills for report writing and documentation.
Ability to travel approximately 40-50%.
