Oakland-area IP-based end-to-end networking solutions company is looking to add a Senior Financial Analyst to their highly-regarded, highly-visible FP&A team.  If you are not the kind of person who wants to advance their career or does not have aspirations for bigger and better things, then this is NOT the opportunity for you.  The FP&A team in the company has historically been a spring-board position into senior/executive level roles.  This $3 billion, publicly traded company has been growing at a healthy rate the last few years and offers a very dynamic environment. 

 

Your responsibilities will include:

 This position will help in the overall coordination of the financial planning processes within the company.This position will recommend and implement improvements in the planning processes as well as report bottlenecks.Develop financial models for various business unit projects and conduct analysis of corporate financials on a regular basisThis position will assist the FP&A team to develop formal reporting metrics at a Business Unit and Corporate level.This position will review and analyze financial statements and details thereof during the month, quarter and year end close process; develop segment reports if needed.Assist with corporate ad hoc analysis and special projects as needed.The position will have a high level of visibility within the company (both domestically and internationally) across many different functions.

 

You will need the following requirements:

 

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Business/Economics and or MBA/CPA with

  5 years Accounting/Finance related experience

- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills required

- Must demonstrate strong initiative and ability to work independently and also as part of a team

- Must have ability to handle multiple priorities and work well under pressure

- Must have ability to work with people at all levels of the organization as well as with

  individuals around the world.

- Experience with Oracle, Essbase, and Hyperion a plus

- Excellent analytical, written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
