Senior Financial Analyst - Direct Hire - 60K

This is a Direct Hire position for a Financial Analyst with a large and growing health and beauty product company which owns several spa and treatment centers. The organization is seeking an inquisitive, dynamic, and reliable Financial Analyst to provided strong support to the company's Vice President of Finance.

 

Job Description:

Is responsible for assisting with wide range of financial analytical support for Vice President of Finance and Finance Department and other departments as required.

 

Primary Job Functions:



- Conduct a wide range of ad hoc analytical support, such as competitive analysis, operational benchmarking, brand profitability, gross margin analysis, capital expenditure ROI, and/or inventory management.

- Assist VP of Finance in all aspects of the corporate budgeting and reporting process. This will include preparation of financial forecasts and analysis of monthly, quarterly and annual variance to budget and previous year results.

- Partner with each business unit manager to understand business drivers, risks and opportunities, and report on current status in relation to existing performance metrics.

- Prepare weekly cash report, detailing payments, collections, pending investment and inventory outlays.

- Collect monthly sales projections from the field; analyze and report on results by account, region, territory and sales rep.

 

Qualifications:

- A solid understanding of financial analysis, model building, business planning and reporting.

- Excellent attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to work independently and to prioritize assignments.

- Enthusiastic, eager to learn and a team player.

- Ability to be objective in analysis and share learning’s constructively.

- Must synthesize large quantities of data, identify trends and drivers, and distill them into insightful analysis to senior management.

 

Prior Work Experience:

- 2 to 3 years of financial analysis, business planning and reporting. Experience in skincare / cosmetics industry a plus.

- Must possess excellent communication skills both written and verbal

- Must be well organized and an excellent multi-tasker.

- Must be detail oriented.

- Must possess effective decision making skills

- Team player.

- MS POWERPOINT, MS EXCEL, MS ACCESS (a plus), previous exposure to Oracle and Discoverer (a plus).

 

Education Requirements:

- Must have a Bachelors degree in finance, accounting or economics.

 

This is a Direct Hire position that will pay 60K to start.
