Our client, a privately-owned, 16-year old, and 2.5 billion sales company has a terrific opportunity for a dynamic individual in our growing corporate office, located in the Torrance/Gardena area.
Our client is looking for a highly motivated and professional Revenue Accountant for our Revenue Accounting Department with a minimum of two years work experience (post graduate) in the accounting field. This entry to mid level Accountant position is the perfect opportunity for the person who possesses the ability and motivation to grow with a highly successful company.
Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited United States University in Accounting or related field.
Other Requirements: Minimum of two years progressive work experience (post graduate) in the field of accounting.
Job Description: The Revenue Accountant's primary responsibilities include: daily billing of fuel transactions; EFT payments to and from customers; daily reconciliation of inventory billings; cash postings; effective follow-up on outstanding balances and the ability to analyze, research and resolve transaction issues with a high degree of accuracy. In addition to the above duties, the Revenue Accountant is also responsible for the monthly accounts receivable reconciliation and any documentation and communications to management concerning exceptions and non-standard request, which occur.
Job Requirements: Applicants must possess the following:
§ GL (General Ledger); JE (Journal Entries); Bank reconciliation; and Month-end analysis experience.
§ Excellent working knowledge of MS Excel; Word; Access; (Mas200 accounting software experience a plus)
§ Strong written and oral communication skills; must be able to communicate effectively with both customers and corporate personnel
§ Highly motivated; detail oriented and have the ability to multi-task on a daily basis.
