Payroll Specialist

Job Description: Analyze, organize and prepare incoming data for processing, following established procedures and time schedules to produce accurate and timely paychecks.  Candidate will be auditing time documents, data entry, resolving unmatched time cards, handling payroll issues with branches and temporary employees and operation of mailroom equipment.  Research and answer questions from employees and their departments.  Provide necessary reporting using SARS, Excel and word processing.  Maintain accurate and timely record keeping of check logs.  Process car allowance payments, moving allowances, commission payments and bonuses.  Prepare, audit and send W-2 states at year end. 

 

Requirement: Candidate must have 3 to 5 years of recent experience working in a payroll center and have accounting knowledge.  Must have excellent computer knowledge and candidate must also have strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
