Mgr SEC Rptg and SOX Compliance - Biopharma/Biotech

Growing, dynamic biopharma/biotech company is aggressively seeking a Mgr of SEC Reporting and SOX Compliance. A CPA is a must with 6 years of financial experience including public company experience in biotech or high-tech industries. Candidate must have strong and proven understanding of SEC filing requirements and of FASB rules and regulations. The candidate will be proficient in all accounting systems. Previous experience implementing and handling SOX Internal Controls is mandatory. Must be a self-starter and have the ability to manage competing tasks and priorities. This person will be a critical thinker and problem solver. The candidate will also possess outstanding written and oral communication skills.. Will be responsible for direct responsibility for the preparation of sec reports, including quarterly reports on 10Q, and 10K forms (annual reports), 8Ks and all other ad hoc registration statements. Will coordinate the review of filings with external auditors, outside legal counsel, accounting personnel and executive management. The ideal candidate will research and document technical accounting issues for senior management and external auditors, including revenue recognition, income taxation and contract accounting issues. Must prepare and maintain schedules and quarterly journal entries for accounting areas pertaining to external reporting and manage SOX 404 compliance with both the internal documentation and evaluation of internal controls and the ongoing montoring and testing. Coordinate financial reporting responsibilities under the corporate governance and financial reporting provisions established by SOX.
