Internal Auditor - Senior

Travels extensively to Avocent facilities to conduct reviews of moderate to complex business processes to identify peripheral risks.
Develops an in-depth understanding of the functions to be audited, applying business knowledge, analytical skills and experience in identifying efficiencies.
May supervise routine projects / audits.
Develops clear and concise written recommendations that require minimal editing.
Consolidates findings for management level review, presents findings to management, and will resolve most issues directly with them. Completes special projects as needed.

Experience and Skills:

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree required, with a Master’s degree in Finance / Business desired.
3+ years of prior experience in internal or external auditing, finance or accounting roles are necessary.

IT industry experience is preferred.
A CPA is desired, as is prior experience with SOX.
A solid understanding of financial systems, risks, and controls is expected.
Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively in a virtual global environment are needed.
