GL Accounting Supervisor (02354)

We are a developer and provider of high-performance broadband customer-premises networking equipment and carrier-class software for the remote management of broadband services and equipment. We also develop and provide broadband-enabled services and remote-management software for enterprises' technical support, help desks, and personal computers.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

The ideal candidate is someone who has worked at a manufacturing organization and has experience in external and internal reporting. The candidate will have extensive experience with General Ledger management, financial close process; internal reporting process; account and variance analysis; ADP Payroll; Stock Plan Administration and SOX - 404. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating the monthly, quarterly and annual accounting close and will supervise three staff accountants.

The position is also responsible for:

 

·  Supervise Payroll Accountant and related work;

·  Administer the Company's stock option plans;

·  Responsible for managing the month-end close process, including internal reporting and financial analysis;

·  Assist in the documentation and testing of internal controls as it relates to the SOX 404;

·  Establishes, modifies, documents, and coordinates implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures;

·  Recommends methods and procedures to improve the functioning of the accounting area;

·  Works closely with personnel in other departments to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures;

·  Prepare monthly consolidation;

·  Development of internal reports based on management guidance, using experience and feedback from internal customers to suggest improvements and modifications;

·  Responsible for maintaining, reviewing, and inputting the month-end and quarter-end reports.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Ideal candidates MUST have the following requirements:

 

·  Bachelor's degree in accounting:

·  5-to-7 years accounting experience with increasing responsibility and at least one year of supervisory experience;

·  In-depth understanding of how the general ledger functions;

·  Working experience with ADP payroll and Equity Edge for Stock Plan Administration

·  Working knowledge of GAAP and SEC Reporting;

·  Understanding and experience in internal controls and related documentation;

·  Strong analytical and problem solving skills;

·  Team player attitude.
