Financial Analyst I

  Education and Experience:   BA/BS in Accounting, Finance or Business Management.

 

Experience in reporting and analysis (3-5 years) with strong quantitative & problem solving aptitudes.  Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, presentation experience is preferred. Strong proficiency in Excel, Access and PowerPoint.

 

Applix TM1 or Hyperion Enterprise user experience is a plus.

 

Software, retail channel distribution or call center industry exposure is a plus.

 

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

 
Support all activities relating to the preparation and presentation production of the Annual Budget and Quarterly Forecasts
Assist with the budgeting and forecasting processes including managing timeframes, meeting with department heads and consolidating information
Analyze and interpret raw data received from operations
Meet with department heads regularly to gain full understanding of P&L expenses and related assumptions, as well as offer guidance as needed
Work with Accounting at month-end close to understand the types of expenses incurred by the business unit and ensure expenses are reflected correctly
Provide monthly variance analysis
Support daily, monthly and annual metric reporting
Perform special projects and analysis for the Senior Executive Team as requested
Make meaningful contributions to enhance the financial performance of the company including determining and tracking success factors affecting the various business unit components
