POSITION SUMMARY

 

To ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices in an integrated Financial System (BAS/SAP) in compliance with company policy. Review of vendor invoices for appropriate General Ledger allocation and make recommendations/changes to ensure proper G/L entry. Educate employees on appropriate expense controls and coding of expenses. Review invoices for level of expenditure and communicate to Cash Management area as needed to facilitate cash forecasting. Initiate and maintain accruals for large vendors and communicate to Financial Planning area. Review internal procedures and controls for compliance with Sarbanes Oxley and company policy. Provide analysis and recommendation of process improvements by utilizing technology and best practices. Develop test plan and manage testing efforts with SAP system. Manage front-end controls for vendor setups and changes. Participate in special projects as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to multi-task in a high-volume, fast-paced Fortune 500 Automated disbursements environment; Working knowledge of basic Accounting Principles; and ability to adapt to a strategic growth/change environment.

 

EDUCATION

 

BS in Business, Accounting or Finance

 

EXPERIENCE

3+ years experience in a high volume accounting environment using automated financial systems. Experience in project management desirable. Proficiency in MS Word and Excel required. Access and SAP preferred. Prior industry experience a plus.
