Financial Accountant

Local company is looking to fill the position of Financial Accountant.  The position will report directly to the Controller and will be responsible for the following:

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare monthly financial statements.Prepare monthly journal entries, including supporting documentation and appropriate descriptions. Record all monthly and year-end accruals.Analyze all balance sheet accounts and prepare detailed support schedules.Analyze and review monthly bad debt reserves.Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.Prepare and analyze income statement and balance sheet fluctuation schedules for annual audit.Participate in annual budget preparation and review.Analysis monthly performance to budget and work with various levels of management to develop monthly analysis and discussion.Prepare monthly and quarterly sales and use tax returns Prepare annual personal property tax returns.Work with both external and bank auditors to resolve all audit requirements.Other duties as assigned.

 


QUALIFICATIONS:
Four year accounting degree or equivalent experienceExtensive experience with general ledgersAbility to organize and prioritize workGood oral and written communications skillsAbility to interact with many people in various departmentsOn-line accounting system experienceP.C. literacy (knowledge of Excel is required)Experience in the carpet industries is a plus
