Director of Accounting - Atlanta
Our client, a commercial real estate investment and management company with over $3 billion in assets has hired us to confidentially search for a Corporate Controller to head up their Accounting team. The company was established in the early 90’s, its focus is to acquire and manage real estate assets (office, industrial, mix-use & hotel) on behalf of institutional and private investors. This is a newly created position, the CFO is looking for a right hand partner to step in and take over the controller’s duties.
The responsibilities include all financial facets of the company’s internal books as well as the financial review of the assets under management. The duties include but are not limited to Personnel and Insurance oversight, managing budgets, projections, external audits, Fund level financials, Investor Reporting & Portfolio accounting.
Must Have Requirements:
Commercial Real Estate INVESTMENT Experience.
CPA
Managerial Experience, at least a staff of 4 degreed accountants
Qualifications:
Public/Private experience. Preferably at least 3 years public accounting experience and at least 5 years private industry experience.
Effective Organization Skills
Exceptional Communication Skills both written and verbal
