Cost Controller

Responsibilities include: work closely with manufacturing personnel while performing financial analysis relating to ad-hoc requests; assist in the developing and utilizing cost measurement tools in accordance with GAAP.  This tool will be used in order to understand and analyze inventory, fixed assets and costing/valuation issues; direct the review and analysis of financial performance versus profit plans and work with operational management to fully understand the variances and propose ways to improve areas as needed; develop financial forecasts for the business unit based on obtaining an in-depth knowledge of the unit’s manufacturing process and operations; be a change agent and identify areas in which the unit can improve.

Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; 5+ years of progressive experience, preferably with manufacturing and cost accounting experience; strong computer systems, analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent communication skills and ability to effectively interact with personnel at all levels of the company.  CPA or advanced degree preferred.
