Cost Accountant

Location: Scottsdale, AZ Position Summary: The Dial Corporation is seeking a  Cost Accountant to maintain standard product costs and resolve cost errors.  This person will analyze operating variances and perform monthly analysis of cost of goods and track cost savings.  Responsible for developing product costs for forecasts, budgets and cost estimates for new or changed products and analyzes changes from existing products.  Assist with month end close, reporting, budgeting and forecasting.


Responsibilities:
Working knowledge of finance and accounting principles.
Clear understanding of financial statements including balance sheets. 
 PC literate with strong mastery of financial spreadsheets including Excel and MS Office. 
Strong analytical and quantitative skills are desired as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
Strong problem solving skills and application knowledge are desired.  SAP experience is a plus.


Requirements:
BS in Accounting or Finance preferred, but not required.
2 years related accounting/finance experience, preferably in a consumer products or manufacturing organization
SAP experience preferred
Ability to build effective working relationships across functional areas.
Strong customer focus
Flexibility is required.  Must be adaptable to change in work assignments and/or priorities.
