A progressive market leader, home building company has an immediate need for a high-energy, hands–on Controller responsible for a $40 million operation. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a Controller who will contribute as an integral member of the plant’s senior management team with key input to all business and strategic decisions and accountable for maintaining the integrity and completeness of the financial data and controls for the plant.

 

Reporting to the Regional Controller, the individual will be responsible for the following:

 General accounting, payables, receivables, payroll, and facilitating both internal and external audits Ensure that the location is meeting the company’s financial reporting requirements consistently, accurately and on time Work with the Regional Controller to standardize and stream line the financial reporting process within the region Ensure that the location has sufficient procedures and controls in place to safeguard the company’s assets and meet Sarbanes Oxley requirements Responsible for the hiring and development of plant accounting personnel Support the management team with strategic planning, business development, operations analysis and continuous improvement initiatives Coordinate between plant and corporate personnel

 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS

 BA/BS Degree in Accounting CPA/CMA/MBA Preferred Minimal travel requirements 8+ years of collective experience in progressive accounting positions Experience in a manufacturing plant Homebuilding desirable

 

COMPENSATION:

Attractive Compensation package.  Initially we will seek a local candidate.  Should we need to expand our search, a comprehensive relocation package is available.
