Controller

Hacienda Harley-Davidson, Inc, one of the largest Harley-Davidson dealerships in the world, has an immediate opening for a Controller at their Scottsdale, AZ dealership. The Controller will be involved in both the tactical day-to-day accounting/financial management of the business as well as the strategic and long term planning and implementation for growth and expansion.

 

The Controller will be responsible for the financial reporting of additional related rental, manufacturing and retail sales entities and must be able to provide combined financial information to management and lending agencies monthly.

 

The duties include:

 Preparing timely and accurate monthly financial statements, reports and forecasts. Responsible for compliance and preparation of financial reporting packages as required by the lending agencies monthly. Prepare annual financial plans and updates.  Prepare monthly forecast and updates. Coordinate and review budgets monthly with senior management.Manage cash flows for all entities to ensure adequate cash at all times. Manage bank loans including coordination with lenders, flooring requirements, interest calculations and accrual reporting.

 

Education and Experience:

 Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.  Masters Degree preferred. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred. 7 to 10 years of progressive accounting experience, through the controller level. 3 to 5 years of experience in motor sports or automobile franchise reporting. Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and income tax law. Excellent communication skills (written and oral). Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment. Proficiency with various computer hardware, software and accounting systems that are used in the motor sports/automobile industry.  Lightspeed accounting system experience desirable.
